New side table! <3 EDIT- now pics after grout.

I'm not done with it yet, it still needs to be grouted.  But I am so excited about it I can't wait to share it!!


I have kept my eyes open for an end table to put in the living room.  Last weekend I found one at Goodwill
for an extra 50% off, making it only $6!! I was excited, and I LOVE the shape of it.  I had decided to spray
paint the table the same color I painted some frames a while back since I just love the color so much.  But I
wanted to do something really special for the top.  So I decided to get colored marbles.  the ones that are flat
on one side.  Glue them to the table and grout over top of them.  I painted the top white so the colors would
show extra bright! This morning I glued the marbles, and I plan to grout it very soon.

You can see where I ended off to the left where I had used all the colors, leaving only yellow. :\


Almost done... only need to grout it now!




This is the very first time I have grouted anything at all.  I'm happy with it.
It still needs to be sealed, but I have to wait till tonight to make sure the grout has set.

Thanks.  I'm super proud of it!!  I've never grouted before and am kind of nervous about messing it up! :\

That's really cool, it looks really nice! I wouldn't have noticed the color change if you hadn't pointed it out, it actually looks cool to have some variety instead of a constant pattern.

And I have to ask, wherever did you find that table? I love the shape of it, it's so cool.
