Living in Alaska I have limited resources outside of Joanns or Micheals.  All I can find are plain black or black and white or brown and black.  Can anyone give me good online resources?  Thanks!!!  also for movable parts pieces for arms and legs, etc.

Planet June has put together a nice list of places to buy craft eyes:  http://www.planetjune.com/blog/amigurumi-help/eye-sources/

Wanted to add a personal recommendation for a place that's not listed on Planet June. My last eye order was from Lisa and Ed's Eyes and More. I heard good things about them from another forum. They don't have a shopping cart, so you have to place orders through e-mail (they send you a paypal invoice), but they have great service. I got my eyes within a week, including an initial inquiry of whether they would switch out one of the eye colors in a multi-pack (Yes) and not ordering until a day or two after. They're also cheaper than most, if not all, other places I've looked at.

I only buy my eyes through Lisa & Ed. They are fabulous.  I am especially fond of a few of their colors - pearl green and a few others. Smiley
I'd give them a go.  You do buy them in bulk however when you look at the number you get you end up saving in the end compared to the cost for a few pairs at the store.

This is my favourite place to go for safety eyes. Great colours and selection of sizes.

I totally use www.etsy.com/shop/6060, they're really quick shipping and I've ordered from them a few times.  Hope this helps!

I have to go with Lisa & Ed also. I have checked out different suppliers and they are by far the cheapest. Even with postal fees you can't get them any cheaper here. (I live in Belgium) And they are really fast in sending them. I ask for a paypal-request, and three days later they're in my mailbox. Smiley

I started buying 'proper' eyes, but they worked out really expensive. It is 50c each eye (so $1 for two) here, and I don't like that... so... I went to the $2 shop and got what Americans call "Pony Beads". There were about 200 in the bag, so 1c each! The ones I use are 'meant' to be threaded somehow onto your hair or something, but I thread them onto my sc-loop and then put the hook through on top and keep crocheting. They fit into my amigurumi perfectly and are so much cheaper! Of course, for ones that need eye-eyes like the images pictured above, I still use 'real' eyes, but for just black dots, I use those ponybeads.
Also, I went into spotlight (our only craft store) and found some heart and star shaped pony beads in glittery colors which I put onto the bottoms of my dolls (like the carebears!)
