Thank you everyone, I made the pattern from photos that I found online and some book cover/book-making tutorials that I adapted for the raised panel look.

This is brilliant. love the way you've done the raised paneling. It looks really professional.
Would you mind sharing how you made the patterning look so good?
I'll be making a cover for my kindle soon, but don't think I'll go the Doctor Who route. I've always wanted an electronic book with "Don't Panic" written in large friendly letters on the cover...

That looks amazing. Did you modify an existing pattern or did you make one up? It' also really comes across as River's journal. Really great job, and welcome to Craftster!

welcome, and this is exactly what i thought!

This is one of the coolest doctor crafts I've seen. I just love that it really is bigger on the inside. I want one for my kindle now!

Thank you all, I will make a tutorial for it. I combined a couple of online sources (I'll find all the sites and list those as well). I do plan on making another one in either an alternate fabric or maybe the Doctor's journal, in the mean time if you're thinking about making one . . . find a book that will house your ereader. ( give a little extra millimeters for folding the fabric over the edges and the inside fabric panel that you will make) I used a cheap book that I picked up at a borders clearance closeout sale.  For this particular case, I used costume suede because I couldn't find the right shade in any other textured fabric (lucky for me Halloween is just around the corner so there was a nice stock).
