Woah guys, it's a table!!! (Pic heavy)

This is the first big project that I've ever undertaken, and it went so amazingly well!!!!!! I got it finished in about two weekends. All the wood is pine. For the top I used two pine panels, which I doweled and wood glued together and then cut to size (68 inches long, and 36 inches wide). The legs I wanted to be a custom height (31 inches), so rather than buying table legs, I bought 4 pieces of 1x3 pine and then I wood glued and screwed 2 pieces together. Each new 2x3 piece was cut down to two table legs and then routered to look fancy.





My dad helped me with the design of the table, and he talked me through what I had to do for each step. The entire time was like a really intensive how to use power tools class as well because I've really never used anything more complicated than a hammer. Even so, I'm so proud to say that I did everything pretty much on my own. He did the routering on the table top, and he did the rings near the bottoms of the legs (table routers are tricky to use for fancy things) but other than that this table is all me

With lumber, screws, l-brackets and everything like that taken in to consideration the whole table cost me about $130. It wasn't exactly a money saving operation, but that wasn't the goal.

My table is currently residing at one end of my bedroom, where I'm slowly starting to set up my very first personal crafting area. Before this I would always go home to craft with my mum/my mum's supplies

I've been lurkning on Anna White's website, you can spend hours going, "I want to make that!" Her plans are super easy to read and understand.

Lol, I'm sure he would love to come help! It actually wasn't as intensive as I envisioned. It was just careful planning beforehand, and learning how to use power tools well enough to execute the plan.
