I think this is the right area for this question.

Anywho, my Dad passed away last November, so in remembrance I planted a weeping cherry tree (cherry's were his favorite) in my back yard.  I have the stones to make a ring for it and some lovely bulbs that should bloom next year.  I've been trying to think of a lovely way to make a marker dedicating it to him.  I've found large engravible (sp?) stones for sale, an it's not so much that their expensive (although they are!) but more that they're not unique.  I supposed I could pour my own... Has anyone got any other ideas?  Thanx!

Trophy bases

They are marble, engravable, and they are cheap.

Or - you can have a small brass plaque engraved and glued to the trophy base to cover the hole

You can also find trophies inexpensively at thrift stores

We did this for our kid's trees they planted when we first moved here. The brass plaques have discoloured due to the elements, but still remain.

Good luck!
