I had the pleasure of participating as a first time swapper in the One Tiny Stuffie Rd 7. I made this kitty for my lovely partner. Thankfully she made it safely to her new friend and was well received there.
The Desmodus felis (being nerdy with terrible Latin Grin), as I called it or Vampire Bat Cat, was made with remnants of different fabrics that I've been hoarding buying lately. The wings are pleather and everything was hand embroidered. I also did my first beading onto something on the edge of the wings to give it a little sparkle.

She ended up measuring 5"x5" not counting the wings. Slightly different angle to try and show the beads.

I also made her a snack so she wouldn't starve on the way to her new home.

Thanks for looking!

So cool! I love how different this is - the wings are brilliant, as is the snack.

Thanks! I have made several of these kitty pillow type toys the last few weeks. They are fun and easy to make. I think next time I sew wings on I will have to sew the back where it attaches to so it curves more. Smiley
