These are the pieces I've been working on this summer. I am a bit leaf obsessed...
I started with leaves out of my garden zucchini, squash and cucumber specifically -






Then I moved on to using smaller more varied leaves with slip on the background:








And finally the most adventurous pieces to date.

I had a larger version of this one, but it fell apart because it dried unevenly.



This is my favorite so far, I blended 3 different shades of stoneware clay on this one.

Leaves and pottery just seem to go together so well. The vase is lovely, but I must admit a great fondness for ferns.

Beautifully well done pieces, and it is great you used real leaves to create the piece. Also like that you used earth tones for the glazes.
