For my 30th birthday this weekend we had a float are our local carnival. The theme was 1982 (the year I was born) and there were some fabulous outfits. Not everything was home made, but I thought people might enjoy seeing the photos any way:

Can I name some of them... superted, rubiks cube, a carebear, dangermouse & penfold, Annie.  I am just showing my age now (I was born in 1979  Cheesy)

I'm impressed with your 80s spotting talent! We also had Rocky (III), Rambo, Pink Ladies (Grease II), Super Mario, a Fraggle, Greenham Common protesters and a few kids from Fame.
