Look at it! I spent AGES on it today (the sewing machine kept on breaking) and it breaks my heart that it's so crap. Gr. But, anyhoo....

The outside. Modelled by a chair:

The lining. Note the loose threads that I've been too lazy to cut off. And the pocket. It fits my German book in (shown):

What do you think? Is that bad? Straps are lovely thick ribbon, it's made from a glittery denim skirt that's too tight to breathe in. And the lining is scraps of old quilt.

EDIT: Ha ha. Got the pictures the wrong way round.

I think it's cute and if can carry your German book with ease, then it's practical as well.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Sure the outside is plain, but you could always jazz it up with writing or something - IF you want to...but it's fine as it is. You are just probably mad at it because of the huge hassle your sewing machine gave you. Wink

You make it sound as if it's horrible. I like it. It's really cute but it is a little plain. Maybe a patch or flower is something. But I still like it.

good idea about decorating it. I just couldn't be arsed. WandaM - you're right. it's the sewing machine. It really is. I have no luck with sewing machines. I nearly broke it.
