Hi! Made this edition of Moste Potente Potions (from the Restricted Section! shhhh) for the potions-loving pinkleo in a recent swap. It was a great way to combine a book from the series with a miniature potion dungeon...these hollow storage books from Michael's are fantastic! This was a fun project!!

the dungeon

recipe for polyjuice potion on inside cover (made this up using details from the book). I covered the book with some leather leftover from cutting up an old jacket, then added the title with metallic paint markers. this photo was taken before I added some glaze to the lettering, which made it look all puffy and shiny.

cauldron with magical blue flames, twig stirrer thing, and moving painting (my fave part!). you can also kind of see some cobwebs made from thread hanging in the corners there. also the teeny mouse under the ladder! could be a friend of Scabbers'...

twig ladder, hanging mystery ingredient, Foe-Glass, and detail of gray brick painting.

scrolls made from rolled paper and bamboo skewers, potion ingredients such as troll bogeys, gold muggle teeth, and unicorn dandruff (glitter and clay bits)

spider eggs (weird beads), essence of Slytherin and shredded dragon tongue (glitter), and a real bug wing!! there's a teeny leather-bound book on the right, above the ladder.

various leather-bound books, a mysterious green egg, dried unicorn blood (bits of solder), an unknown ingredient, and a ball of unicorn tail hairs.

This was a fun project and I want to make one for myself now. Thanks for checking it out!

This is so cool!  I love all the tiny bits inside.  And this gives me a great idea for DH's Christmas!
