My mother gave me her old Kenmore 10 and it hates me.  My mom never actually used it that I know of, so I doubt that she'll be of help, so I came here.  I've taken it apart and cleaned it, rethreaded it and all that jazz and it's still doing something odd.  It doesn't matter how I adjust the settings, I just get an icky mess on the bottom of my seam.  Tensions above 5 break my thread and below 4 make my seam even messier.  Oh, and my mom no longer has any of the paperwork that came with the machine either.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

My boyfriend is holding a Pokemon themed contest.  Interested?  http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.359328020778498.82645.352681428109824&type=1

There are a couple of review on this machine on Pattern Review http://sewing.patternreview.com/SewingMachine/Kenmore

One mentions the macine has problems with Singer sewing needles.
