I'm working on a clutch that is of similar construction to this book clutch:

However, the clutch I'm working on is a trapezoid and I am assuming I will have to make the frame myself.  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get started sourcing the metal (wide, flat strips to build a similar 3 or 4 sided clutch frame) and does any one have any tips for fabricating this style clutch frame?

Thanks in advance!

I would make a cardstock dummy after measuring, then cut out wood from that pattern. Then I would pray that I find many same-sized books so I wouldn't have to make a new dummy all the time.
