I tried my first hexipuff... I'm not sure what happened, but it's sort of squat and I definately didn't get the closure right :/

I may try again tonight if I have time

After much deliberation I un-stuffed all my puffs and switched to hexi-flats.

It's actually not that hard to do, I just used my crochet hook to pull all the fluff out through one corner. Now I can puff wherever I go and not be held up by lack of polyfil.

And here are my easter puffs I knit today!

loudxmouse, Did you get my PM?

I dyed a bunch this weekend too...I will post some pictures once they are dry.

I have 40 puffs done now too!  I feel like that's barely making a dent in what I will need total.  Smiley

This seems so difficult!  I love the idea and the look, especially in place of a comforter for summer... I'm not sure I could handle it, though.  I know I'd want something monochrome, if not solid.  Maybe this is the project that gets me to step outside of that?

Or maybe not?  Smiley  I so want to try!  Oooh, maybe I could make a baby's playmat or something.

I am a product-oriented crafter and spend a lot of time on my items (believe it or not!)  I am interested in personal swaps with folks who have common interests and standards.  I love textiles, texture, and rugged-meets-vintage-meets-luxe.

cleanandfolded, I do hope you try it, it really isn't as difficult as it looks, and the small puffs are the perfect size for a portable project. It's different from most projects in that it's best worked on in between other things, whenever you have some down-time, riding the bus or waiting in lines, that sort of thing. I'm slowly filling up baskets with my puffs, eventually I will count them all out and decide whether to keep going, or to assemble what I have. Smiley
