Lots of hat goodness!  Is the orange a Caloriemetry?  I have made that pattern several times--it is quick and easy!

Well, it was tough, but I donated over 30 hats to our local yarn shop charity drive last night.  lol I pulled out about 6 hats in the parking lot that I am just not ready to part with yet...I will probably donate them next week, I just need to say my good-byes... Grin.

One of my friend's there is sponsoring a refugee family from Syria.  She took 8 hats since they are coming to the US with NOTHING except the clothes on their backs. Two adults and about 15 kids...some of the parents could not come or did not make it...but the surviving adults are keeping the kids together...it breaks my heart but it also is good to know that they are good people trying to do the right thing in this messed up situation.  I hope the kids don't get too much culture shock!

good on her. my knitting group doesn't make things to give away, maybe i should join a charity type group. but most are religious groups, and i want a mello group i'll have to look on ravelry. but my new job is giving me over 40 hours/ six days a week. maybe when im not so busy.

and yes it was the Caloriemetry i didn't finish it for a year and didn't add it to ravelry

I've been MIA for a while on Craftster, but I wanted to get a few more items in on this board. Both were requested hats, and both look much better than the pictures show!

First a slouchy hat for a friend with a lot of hair, who loves purple....

And one for my sister, as part of a gloves and hat set.  It was based on th "Wurm" pattern from Ravelry, and what you don't see is the fat reverse stockinette 'wurms' are separated by stockinette bands in a super shiny bronze metallic yarn.  The hat moves as you move, almost like it's breathing, with little flashes of the shiny yarn.

Of course I have some more things on the needles, just not sure I'll make my quota by years end.  Awesome donation, AIMR -- I'm sure they've made people very happy!

Nice Santa hat!  And a wonderful way to end the year.
I didn't make my count this year, but it's been great fun seeing all the hats everyone produced.
