Well because the poppet I am making will have his clothes sewn on I dont have to worry about the abs or the manly bits. I drafted some patterns today for the clothes for both poppets. I will try to cut everything tonight and start to sew tmrw.

Hm...Opinion needed--since I'm making a poppet for an infant would it be better to sew on the clothes as well? And would a skirt or pants be better for a girl poppet?
Note: I need to work on my embroidery skills T^T My symmetry skills are terrible  Cheesy

For an infant I would sew them on and a skirt is easier but the pants would mean you wouldnt have to worry about undergarments. Cant wait to see what you are creating. I am dealing with poppet armor. It is a little tempermental. So it is wierd I usually firmly stuff the poppets I make and the male poppet is stuffed firmly, and the last swap I did the poppet I got was stuffed nicely but less firm that I usually do, but since my daughter takes her everywhere it is kinda nice. So for the little girl poppet I am making I stuffed her well but soft compared to the guy and there is big differnce between them. Just funny is all.
Well back to housework then some crafting time.

ok so now I need advice. I usually close the back of the dresses with corset type closures holes so they can be tied up, snaps, or hook and eye. But the top I made for the girl doll will not close enough for a snaps and it is for a 6 yr old  so you think the hook and eyes or the corset style?

Beth----THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!  :-*I say Corset style. It's less...er...pointy? (More comfortable to handle for little hands.) And prettier for a girl poppet ^^ Plus it's more secure. Don't have to worry about losing bits and have a gaping back.

Hey guys! Sorry I've been so quiet. I just got back from a weekend out of town with no computer or phone, and it was great! I love my medieval reenactment society Smiley

Hi everyone, I'm still here.  Cheesy Just been concentrating on sewing the Poppets & clothes & things & trying to get done. IsikkahJai, whatever you want to do about the clothes is fine, sewed on or not. It'll looked great. I'm sure no matter what you decide to do they will look fantastic.  Wink Back to sewing.
