So recently I found myself out of work again. It was something I wanted, the apparel company I was working with/for was very small and pretty much shooting themselves in the foot with every good opportunity they had to grow. While I was at this company I really wanted to get back to doing some silkscreening. I really enjoyed doing it before but the owner didn't want to invest in the equipment.

Now that I am on my own again I decided to get a small home set up. My place is pretty small, 500 sq feet so I couldn't do a full set up. (also the whole being without a job thing limited the funds available) I play roller derby and a lot of the girls on my league were asking if I was going to do my own line of derby clothes so I decided to go with something skating related for my first design.

On black scoop neck t-shirts

Close up on the black shirts. The orange is closer to the other pictures. The ink is water based, which I don't think has a great of coverage as plastisol inks

Same design on a ocean blue tank top. Art work is approximately 8 x 5in

The blue line is darker on the light blue shirt than the black shirts. I mixed the inks for the blue shirts first then added more white for the black shirts

Racer back on blue tank

Comments and criticism welcome!!

Thanks for looking :]

It's a great design. Kudos to you for thinking of adding white to the blue before trying it on the shirt, I wouldn't have!

Thanks!! The water based inks weren't showing up as well without the white in the ink. I started printing a shirt before I realized what I needed to do. Only the white is really opaque in the water based inks.

 Cheesy
