I made this for no real reason at all other than to just make it Smiley  I had some of the pirate fleece left over and didn't want to throw it away, so I cut out one of the skulls and crocheted a border around it.  And of course, you can't have a blanket without a pillow!  I also have TONS of pirate fabric, so I cut out one of the skulls from there too, and had some red & white stripped fabric that I bought with all my pirate fabric, so used that as the border.  And for the backing, I didn't have any pirate flannel so I went with owls Smiley  I like to think there's a secret cute side to every pirate! Smiley  I plan on making some kind of doll to go along with the blanket, not sure if it will be a pirate doll or not.  Have some other projects to finish up first before i can start another one Smiley

That is really cute doll bedding. I love that fleece! I have never seen pirate fleece.
