I have always been fascinated by water. It's just so beautiful, the way it looks when the light touches it. That's why my challenge entry is also inspired by water - to be more exact I was inspired by a drop of water.









The pendant has been made by using polymer clay and a glass bead. The flower is growing around the water drop and there are some very tiny pearls around it also (also made of polymer clay that I covered with pearl colored powder).

After making the pendant I wanted to make matching earrings but I wasn't really sure how they should be. That's why I made two different kind of earrings - one pair of hanging earrings and one pair of button earrings (I'm not sure if they're called that in English...)





I'm still thinking of making earrings that have the pearl-like polymer clay beads on them but I didn't have time to make them for this contest to show them here.

By the way, sorry that the pictures are not the best quality because the lightbox that I was working on didn't turn out the way I wanted so these pictures have been taken this evening in the light of sunset.  Undecided And I'm not really a professional photographer either.

That is soo pretty! It's gorgeous! I wish I could do something so detailed. And we call button earrings studs. I don't know if that's all over, or just in the South, but still! Great job!

I haven't been using clay for long time but for this one I knew exactly what I wanted so I just spent quite much time to get as close as I could to the image that I saw in my head.
