I really just want to cry  Cry

I love letterboxing, stamp carving, and crewel. And have zero art talent, I have to rely on others. I have tried laser and iron, ink and acetone, carbon paper, and can't seem to get any of them right. I tried just last night to iron a design on a tea towel from a laser print and got more smudge than line. Same with transfer paper, I must have drug my hand along with the stylus.

So I thought I would try ironing the laser on Stiffy and then basting it to my towel. That seemed to work OK. After I tore the Stiffy (after having to work on my Singer 99 hand crank I grabbed because I was sure it didn't need any maintenance, wrong . . ) I thought "I know, I'll use basting tape." At 10:0 PM . . . helps if you put the Stiffy under the fabric, not on top next to the iron . . . open to any suggestions. Been searching the web off and on all day looking for "Transferring for Dummies"
