Hi all!  Sorry I haven't checked in recently... I'd sent my partner a PM but didn't realize I hadn't checked in here in a while (I'm still learning Craftster; oops!).  I've been working primarily on finishing up another unicorn zombie apocalypse (13 mini days of Halloween), and am putting the final touches for that one together today and will be able to focus on my mug rug tomorrow!  I did a practice round and really liked the main body of the rug, but had some problems finishing it using bias tape.  I keep thinking my sewing skills are better than they are...  Undecided  But everything I try is helping me learn... At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

So, I wish my trial run had turned out neater, but frankly I still liked the way it wound up looking and may use a similar fabric layout for this one.  I went and bought fabrics last week and was waiting for confirmation on the color of brown that Bergman likes, which I have now - deep, dark chocolate brown - yum!  It's a happy circumstance that I noticed one of the fabrics on one of her pinterest items is almost *exactly* like one I bought (maybe that one imprinted on me before I went shopping and I forgot!).   Really excited to put it together!

I have sketches done!  And I'm pretty excited about them.

I am certainly not as speedy as some of you on here!  I think I have a plan worked out though.  Unless I change my mind, which I'm good at doing.  Smiley

I finally had craft time yesterday so I got the top sewn and started embellishments. Still contemplating the back though. Won't be too long and then I will be doing he edges and sending.

I have started my mug rug but I am thinking it is a bit too small so I might make another one a bit bigger

Woot! Last night, I finally had some time to myself and my machine and I'm now almost done my mug rug! (Everything except the applique is ready)

I can't believe how much FUN this is! It starts out all messy and full of thread sticking out of every corner and then... stitch stitch stitch and it looks neat and professional =P

No one warned me this would be addicting! hehe Grin
