I've been debating about signing up for this.  I've never made a mug rug before, but I have fabric that I want to use to make myself one.  Maybe I'll give that a try after I finish up homework tonight, see how it turns out, and make a decision from there.  I'm starting to really love single item swaps.  So much less stressful.

Dooooo ittttttt!!  My very first mug rug turned out slightly wonky, but I still really liked it (I thought the wonky-ness actually added to it)!  And I had never quilted before or anything.  They're a great little craft that doesn't take too much time to complete!

I think I might try the backing-as-binding method for this swap.  It looks so easy-peasy!  And still pretty.  Smiley

I agree with badpuppy - do it!!

I went and bought a slew of fat quarters yesterday for another project I am working on.  Some of them aren't going to be used for my current project - I just had to buy them because they were so awesome.  We'll see what my partner likes, maybe I can work them in Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You're in good company Smiley I spent over an hour Sunday going through my stash putting together color combos so I know what I have when I get my partners survey

Organizer note

Signups will be open until Saturday afternoon (roughly around 1pm MST. Cause thats when Nap time is here!) I'll then try to get partners up shortly after!

I know there has been a couple questions about the swap rules regarding No Extras.  I know lots of us like to spoil our partners a little with extras. However to keep this swap fair and easy we have decided to not do extras. We can send something like a couple bags of tea but preferably nothing else. This also helps with swap anxiety feelings! We just want everyone to have a fun enjoyable stress free swap!

If you really want to send more to your partner you can always arrange to do a personal swap on the side.

If you have any questions about this or any other part of the swap please let me know!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful time with this swap! I know I'm really looking forward to it!! Has anyone made any practice rugs that they want to share? Or has anyone found any really cool places for inspiration? (other then my pinterest hehehe Wink )

My boyfriend has diagnosed me with F.A.C.  Fabric Acquisition Disorder.  It's a serious illness plaguing crafters throughout the world.

And I promise not to go crazy with extras. I may include a couple tea flavours, but that would be it! (And to my future partner, if you don't have a well-stocked tea cupboard like me, there is no need to reciprocate!).

I am no off to check out canamharris's pinterest...  Smiley
