if you have a Home Goods near you, check them.  I got a really nice cage (similar to OP's) for $10.

I soooo love this idea....I was wondering what to put in my cage and you've inspired me. Smiley

Definitely, "decorative" birdcages are a lot more likely to be found cheap that old-fashioned looking real bird cages - something I found out after months of hunting birdcages.  I'm glad there might be an easy option.

Thanks!  Please share your creation when you make it!

I've noticed that they're a hot decorator item at TJ Max Homegoods.

I can see the manager at HomeGoods saying, "Have you noticed all the people laughing maniacally when they're buying the bird cages?

Thanks guys!  Without going into details, I have acquired another wishbone to rattle around in the bottom of the cage.
