This is my rendition of the seasonal favorite... BATS! I decided to give mine a tree to hang in with the moonlight behind them. They are done in a deep purple, on a golden orange moon.  The stones are intended to make the bats appear as if they are going to ZAP YOU with some kind of Super Powers! The bats are hanging in a tree done with a bit of lace to represent the shadowy leaves, and the branch is done with long and short bugle beads.  They are completely hand stitched, with no glue. The acrylic stones are set with three layers of stitching, and finished with a circle of beads. I gave the backs 2 kinds of attachments. They could also get a magnet instead, or stitched onto something.
**** Bats are  truly incredible... They have a built-in a radar, they nurse their young, they keep the population of insects down... they even really come in many colors other than black. They are not just a Halloween icon; they are a fascinating part of nature!

 Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much! I know a friend of my Mom who is a bat fanatic. I'll probably be giving her one of these!

Whoa, these are gorgeous!  All that detail, from the gem to the beading, is so well done.  Is that a hair clip attached to the back?  I would totally wear one of these in my hair!

Yep! That's a hair clip. It's one of those snap-down type that holds really good.
Thanks so much for the comments~ this is a stretch from my usual type of work!
