Okay! This is my first challenge entry. I got excited to see this challenge, because not long before it was posted, I was gathering sticks from our 44 year cabin property line. In early July of this year, we had straight line winds, and we lost TONS of trees, and now our property line looks naked without any trees between cabins. I decided to gather some branches after I was inspired a photo that I found in Big A$$ Book of crafts.  http://www.amazon.com/Big-Ass-Book-Crafts-Mark-Montano/dp/1416937854 This will remember the years I have been up there when I was 2 weeks old, and watching all the birds fighting for the bird feeders.

Here's my heavy load of photos!

Favorite part of the frame-

Second Part of my favorite-

Bird house-

Close up of the flowers and the bead leaves-

I found the bird house at the dollar store, painted it white and watered down brown paints to show the white, The red, yellow "flower" was carved by a local Wisconsin guy, he used tree branches and carved into a flower. The glass leaves and paper flowers were purchases for 50% off at Michael's. I also brought two of the larger birds, the nest for $1.99. I had those tiny birds that was in a package, left over from a previous project.

Thanks for looking!! CC is welcomed!

I like your idea very much.  I like working with found wood too, although, living in the desert, it's harder to find, until all the neighbors prune their trees!!

Thank you! My mom really likes it. I haven't showed to my grandma. I'm sure she will like it too!  Grin

Very cool! It's really cheerful with the birds and cute little flowers, and I love the organic look of the branches. I might have to do something similar for a bare wall in the spare bedroom; we have tons of alder lying around our property!

This is a very good way to use twigs, though I'd have to do yard work to collect some. Maybe later this year I'll try something like this! Smiley

That's really cute!
We have a lot of wind here too and it's hard on our mature trees, so I love to see new ideas that I can use for our fallen branches. Smiley
