I love pandas and Teddy bears. So i tried to amigurumi a panda.instead of using only black and white combination,as the real pandas are,i used purple and white. Isn't it Innovative of me?Actually,no.I ran out of black yarn and could not buy it untill 2 days later. But after seeing the panda pattern i so much wanted to make it.I just could not wait that long for black yarn.So i combined purple with white. Finally i made a panda for myself.i am much happy with the finished results. Wink

I use 2mm Aluminum crochet hook  and  light weight white and purple 3ply yarns for this. After making all the parts,i stuff it with Poly Fill and joined. The panda is 5 inches tall. It's small enough to keep anywhere.

Here is the link to the pattern i use http://allaboutami.tumblr.com/post/3292765354#disqus_thread

I made some changes to the pattern.By comparing the images you can know what i change.

Ha ha. I loved your story of how you came to do the panda in purple and white instead of black and white.  But isn't it often the way that when you have to improvise you come up with something better than you would have done otherwise? Often the compromises we have to make inspire our creativity.  Well done.  It is a dear little panda - and if we can have rainbow coloured ponies I do not see why we cannot have a purple and white panda.

Very cute! He looks great in purple. What pattern did you use? I've been looking for a good panda pattern.
