Details of SwapSummer is coming to a close and it's that time again. The theme is Halloween!
What is a chunky house, you ask? The most succint description: mixed-media collage. Check out the links below for inspiration or type "chunky house" (in quotations) in the craftster search box.
In this swap, participants will be put into groups of 5. Each member of the group will make and send out one house, decorated front and back (embellish, embellish, embellish!), to each person in your group. Houses should be sturdy enough to stand when attached to other houses or leaned against an object, so please select a sufficiently sturdy base material (nothing floppy). Examples of base material: paperboard, matboard, cereal box cardboard, wood, layered cardstock, foam core. There's probably more ideas for base material floating around out there. Each house should measure between 3" to 4" wide, and should be no taller than 7". If you would like to sign the back with your name or craftster name and date, that would be great!
Let's make sure we build a bunch of high quality chunky houses! I will try to match you all up based on your swap questionnaires. Please consider your partners likes and dislikes. If you disliked blood-soaked machetes would you want one on the chunky house you receive? Probably not.
Communication is important. Failure to communicate will be reflected in your feedback.

1Because this is a paper craft swap, DC numbers and mailing receipt copies are not required. HOWEVER, if for some reason your chunky house does not arrive at its destination you will be required to re-send. Also, it is a good idea to write "DO NOT BEND" on both sides of your package and/or to have your house sandwiched between cardboard for extra protection (Thanks for the tip, Killam Creative!).
