My branching out is finito! Yay! I really loved the pattern, it was perfect for a first try at lace, but as usual I was anxious to get on to the next project.

Ok, I'm late, I know I know. But I just got the softest yarn for this. It's Classic Elite Yarns Premiere in Black. I'm going to knit it up on 10 1/2s so the lace will look nice. I am also now obsessed with knitting lace. I love having something basic and something lacey to work on so I can switch back and forth to keep it interesting.

I'm really loving this pattern. I'm definitely itching to find another lace pattern that I like for after this one. (Any suggestions?)

I've got 25 repeats done so far and am thinking I'll only have enough yarn for 7 more. I plan to finish tomorrow. Hooray! (It's a present for my mom. So, I'm excited to get on with it so I can work on something lacy and delicious for myself!) Greedy, I am!

Cool!  We want pics when u are done!
I have made it to 16 repeats so far.  I think I'll be able to make about 32 total.  So... about half-way!! It looks great... but it is slow going... I'll work on it more tonight.   Wink

I finished the knitting! Today, I plan to finish it up (weave in ends and block it.
Here are some pics though:

Roxy models it for you!

Hopefully the pattern will clear up loads in the blocking process.

How many repeats are everyone getting?  I'm at about 20 right now.  I'm doing this with a worsted weight Araucania Nature Wool, and there's over 200 yards in the skein...

It is kinda shimmery. There is just a hint of gold in the rust color that makes it look shimmery. It's really a gorgeous yarn. (And, thank you. Cheesy She's her daddy's girl, but she was kind enough to model for me anyway.)

puppymomma, I got 32 repeats; it's the perfect length for my mom, but if I was doing it for myself (and could stand it) I would have made it closer to 48 repeats. (I dig long scarves.)

OMG! I left this blocking overnight and it is a wonder how much better it looks now. It's true that lace really does come out during blocking. *whew*

(This is my mom's xmas present, one of them, so if I think of it, I will put up pics of her in it when she gets it.)

Good luck everyone!
