Well as a first time lace knitter as well, allow me to congratulate you on figuring the pattern out!! Took me 4 frogs but I'm on a roll now! Got about 18 or 19 repeats done, think I'm gonna just go until I'm out of yarn, unless I get unbearably sick of it before then [which is usually the case!]

I've done 17 repeats so far and it's looking good. A few mistakes that I am not bothering to fix. Hopefully I can get a picture when I finish.

A q: So many of you seem to have a very distinct pattern. Mine obviously will need blocking before you can really clearly see the pattern. (I am using a thinner, fuzzier yarn than most.) But, has anyone else had this experience?

I'm using a very thin somewhat fuzzy yarn, my pattern is showing alright. However blocking is supposed to perfect this scarf, so you should be just fine.

Finally figured out the pattern and got about 4 or 5 reps done so far in a few hours (but now it's time for bed... sometimes I wish I could knit in my sleep, lol)!!! So excited to finally be making this, after attempting and failing a few months ago... will try to post some pics here and/or my blog soon!!! I'm using Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk yarn in dark red on my size 8 Addi turbo circs.

I heart Addi turbos!  Cheesy

I posted pics of my progress on my blog, if anyone's interested... (although, they're not the best pics, but I guess you can still see it.)

It looks way scarier than it is, you can totally do it. Just make sure you use life lines for every pattern repeat!!!
