Hi everyone - i posted a few weeks ago saying how I would love to start this. With my husband working interstate at the moment I thought it would be a great time to start Smiley
I brought this 12 drawer kit from my local scrapbooking shop for $10AUD because it was missing a drawer. I come across it yesterday and thought - "House!"
Here it what it was originally -

Can't wait to start properly once the kids are in bed Smiley

Here's what I started last weekend. It's technically still a WIP, as I plan to add a lot of beading and so on. I'm looking for a little crown charm to put on the middle of the valance. It started as one of the punch out furniture kit pieces, and I modified the headboard to make a little princess-y canopy. There are more details on the image itself.  Sorry the image is a bit blurry.

That's an adorable bed, love the colours and details!

My aunt has the BEST mug rug slash mini carpet, oh man! A set of 4 coasters is $20, if anybody ever wants to split some of these I'm game! One day I might splurge on a mouse pad version or the hallway sort. Are they EVER gorgeous.

I've been wanting to join this craftalong, but I need to buy some supplies. I want to learn how to do the egg carton stonework.  I'm worried this project will remain conceptual only..... Undecided

Those are really cute mug rugs. I have one that I think is a mouse rug maybe. It has a rubberized back, but I'll have to look at it to see if the same pattern is there. 'One day' I'd be interested and going in on a set for my house. I'll keep it in mind for sure.

I also like that you saw a "house" in those drawers, CraftyGoodness!  Any more progress on it?

CLM--those mug rugs are wonderful!  You could build a whole room theme around them...

I inherited one of those mug rugs from somewhere.  Its really cute but the foam backing is so thick it makes it kind of awkward in a tiny house.  I'm sure I will find someplace for it though.

I didn't think the backing was all that trouble some. A bit higher than an actual rug but not so much as to be too noticable. You could always print a rug pattern onto heavy fabric though, there's some process so you can run fabric through a printer (that I've never managed to master, lol). Then you could fringe the ends yourself and it would be flat flat flat.
