Fabulous ideas! Will defo be swiping one... or two... or five of them

Got a little more done today. Inside I've added some plaster to the walls which will be stained with potion splatters and other good witchy things.

Outside had begun the process of grungification.


Still a bit of a mess but it's heading in the right direction. Not entirely pleased with the shutters but I'll keep at them. I do wish I could unhinge the shutters a la bunny1kenobi's suggestion but those things aren't budging.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the inside of this place so I've been plugging away at the outside today....

I'm not sure what to do with the windows. I know there SHOULD be some broken glass in there but it's a sort of thick acrylic and I'm afraid if I try to punch it out that I'll damage the frame or just have goofy looking broken acrylic. If I had loads of time I'd punch away but I'm on a tight deadline so I think they'll have to stay as is

Is there some way to etch or paint the acrylic windows so they simply look cracked?

Wow, Knickertwist, it's coming along amazingly! I love how you've grunged up the outside of the house. What did you use for the moss up the side? Is it just paint? I was thinking of doing something similar with mine but was thinking along the line of vines/ivy. I'm just not sure how to make it 3-D and small enough.

The boarded up door is awesome! I like the suggestion of painting cracks in the windows. Maybe you can scratch up them up with an X-acto? You could also add some boards to them to make them a little more ominous.

I've been plugging away at my tiny books and love how they're turning out. Only problem is the kids love them, too, including the toddler who apparently thinks they're delicious. I hope to have my bookshelf done this week!
