I finally got round to working on my cardboard house again! I just spent the whole day crafting  Smiley

I'm calling it an alchemy room. All the furniture is made out of cardboard too!

First - the table. The little containers/bowls are large bead caps with the edges bent outward. One is filled with black peppercorns and the other one has sesame seeds. The bronze 'tankard' is a jewellery finding.

There is a 'crystal ball' on the pedestal and some potion bottles on the shelf

The table looked a bit 'empty' so I added some scrolls

*I'm quite happy with the results!  Wink I still want to make a chair and perhaps add some wall art.

Well done katara! The little table is fabulous Smiley

I've started on my next house. The floors have been scored and painted, and I'm just painting up the little extra bits. I'm going to try the egg carton stones for the exterior and plaster for the insides. I'll post some progress picks later.

Here's the little fireplace that I made for the goblin pub I'm working on. I used the eggcarton tutorial to make it. I'm totally glad I did this before the outside of the house because I'll be sure to stack my 'stones' more horizontally on the exterior... these look a bit diagonal to me.

You can see the floor propped up behind it. I just score the wood, paint and wipe off the excess. WAY easier and WAY faster than installing a floor. Because I put so much focus on other stuff in the houses people don't even notice the floor. As long as the hint of a floor is there it generally works.

Cracker jack! I must have hit some sort of time warp today because I actually managed to get a HUGE chunk of pub done. Here's the fireplace installed.

That looks wonderful! I can't wait to see it complete.

I think I might bite the bullet and try the egg carton technique on my house this weekend. Will have to rehouse the kitties for awhile.

I'm on a roll!

Just a bit of fiddling with the interior, fixing up walls, adding window frames and stuff.

The huge chimney on the side which needs to be bricked.

And the exterior stone work... which still need grouting but at least the stones are in place!

For those who think I work super fast... I really don't. This is about 6 solid hours of crafting since the last update and I already had the cartons coloured, and the everything else ready for assemblage. I think I've just gotten more organized so when a chunk gets done, it seems like lightening speed. Also, because I've done this particular house model a number of times, I can put it together in about 5 minutes, opposed to the hour+ it took me the first time around Smiley
