A goblin/ogre pub sounds awesome! Can't wait to see what you do with that.

Heh, heh, heh. Hilarious mini scenes. The duck in the tub is my favourite.

Finally did a little more on my long neglected shelf. The top wallpaper is cut from an old catalog of books, the middle is just paint and may be repainted, the bottom was just gold tissue, but I painted over it quite a bit. can't see it, but just painted the two lower ceilings brown, you can glimpse where the top ceiling's blue. So, that's the walls and the floors done now. Need to start making bookshelves and such, still don't have the time to work on it often. Ah, well-it'll keep.

and a bit of the lower shelf, glare and all-looks better in person.

Thanks! I'll just keep looking forward to having time to play with this. The top floor shall be a travel/adventure themed area, eventually.

Great shelf!

I haven't had time to really work on my dollhouses lately. But I do still have trades in the works with people who've been making me things for the main house. I got a couple of tiny hand-turned wooden bowls not long ago, which are begging for some fruit. I'll have to crack open the polymer clay soon and muck about with it. I just have more time for doing 2D art in recent months. But I'll get to it.

It's been a while since I did an update on our wee house.  Between crazy work, funerals, conventions, web sites, and a surprise birthday party two states away, I haven't worked on the house in more than 3 weeks!

I did get the walls glued together, so it is looking like a house instead of a bunch of mostly flat boards.

Front View:

The Front Door (without the door) and the base of the porch:

The side where the bay window goes:

The living room:

The kitchen:

The bedroom:

The fish room:

I think the staircase ready to be installed:

Some other mostly finished parts, including dormers, the bay window, the rest of the porch (the dark green arch that will go over the front door):

And the sticks that I bought to cover some of the rough edges.  In the background, you can see the rest of the roof:

I am pretty happy with the way the floors came out.  I used one of those glazes that I found at Michael's.  It dries really shiny, and is fairly forgiving about smoothing out after you glop it on there.  I had to sand some drips off of the staircase, and then redo one side.  You can hardly tell.

Some of those sticks will be baseboards to cover the gap where walls meet floor.  Some will cover the rough edges along the back.  Some will be doorframes.  Some will cover the rough edges where the stairs go.  I may need to cover the seams upstairs along the roof lines, but I need to see how things look after the rest of those parts get glued in.

I finally got round to working on my cardboard house again! I just spent the whole day crafting  Smiley

I'm calling it an alchemy room. All the furniture is made out of cardboard too!

First - the table. The little containers/bowls are large bead caps with the edges bent outward. One is filled with black peppercorns and the other one has sesame seeds. The bronze 'tankard' is a jewellery finding.

There is a 'crystal ball' on the pedestal and some potion bottles on the shelf

The table looked a bit 'empty' so I added some scrolls

*I'm quite happy with the results!  Wink I still want to make a chair and perhaps add some wall art.
