ha ha ha I keep picking up things I find around in parking lots, store floors, etc. and imagining my little guy coming across them and how he can fit them in his house!

I can't wait to see your ceiling tile idea!!  I made his bedroom ceiling stars because when I was a kid, my dad painted stars on my ceiling...it is a tribute to my dad.

I went to Michael's yesterday and bought the Creatology house with verandah, but I'm trying to put it together without the verandah, since I think it will work better for my theme (gypsy hedge witch, I think) without the porch.  I'm having trouble getting it together because everything keeps falling down when I try to add the next piece  Undecided I think I need to get some masking tape to hold it together or something. If you've put that one together, do you think it is possible to do it without the ceiling over the porch? I also bought some furniture (cabinet and shelf things) for $1 that were too big, but I broke them apart and will use them for separate, smaller pieces.

I decided my sunny upstairs parlour (still not glued together) needed a beaded curtain to separate it from the tarot room next door.  I got out my jewelry supplies again and here's what I came up with.  It's strung on an antique pin I had laying around.  It's not installed yet.  I want to hang it on a hook or something vs. glue it to the wall, just in case one of the bead strands breaks some day.

blue_lalita---put the two sides onto the first floor and then if you insert the gingerbread roof line piece into the two end pieces, the house should stand on its own...that is what I did until I got all my interior pieces done...and no, you do not need to attach the roof over the veranda or the veranda...I thought about leaving those off as well...I am even thinking of leaving off the back roof piece...that way I can see into my little house better!

Do not glue until you are perfectly happy with all the walls, windows, shelves, flooring, etc. I have a few things I want to hang up and I know they are going to be a pain!!

missingwillow--a beaded curtain is a cute idea!!  Love the butterfly

That sounds a bit like the book "The Enchantment Emporium," by Tanya Huff. If you haven't read it, maybe you should pick it up. There might be a lot of inspiring ideas in there!  Cheesy
(And it was a fun read)

cackle- That book sounds like something I would like to read! I think I will look at my library!

Missingwillow- what scale is the house you are doing? I think I have the same one and was wondering what you thought.

I finally got to play with my house today. I dry-fitted it and messed around with possibly cutting a proper doorway. Still undecided about what direction I'm going............

curiousfae, it was a fun read. Let me know what you think of it!

It's tiny, the Creatology house with veranda.  I think it's 1/2 inch to 1 foot.
