I finally quit being lazy and started the dry run of my house. Whoa! So many pieces. Of course, I just had to get the fantasy house lol.

If you have questions about it, I'm willing to answer. It's the one I put together. My pics are earlier in the thread.

I am loving how we are using our imaginations and repurposing things to make wee stuff!  Missingwillow--using the jewelry spacers as tin tops in so clever!  I am digging through my jewelry making stuff to see what inspires me...I know I want to make a few "bottles" using beads...

But, I am still working on my exterior walls, so the fun cute stuff has to wait...although, I do try to squeeze one or two projects in just to keep myself interested!

I think I might use an altoid tin to make the box for my fireplaces...it should hold up the rocks...

I love seeing buildings from Europe...I think that is where I got some of my inspiration to do the spackled walls with the timber beams... Cheesy

Varuna--I hope I get a chance to do that fantasy house...I think now that I did the simple house, I have a better idea of how to put it together...I hope your offer to help is still good by the time I get to it Cheesy

I really like the idea of using an altoid tin for a fireplace!

I wish I had thought of it sooner...because now I have to try to cut out the hole with my house assembled Sad...it might just have to go into future ideas...maybe you can try it and tell me how it works.. Cheesy

Those tiny tea tins are quite adorable!

Last night I started on an aluminum-foil-covered-in-polymer-clay tree for my faux wedding but it will also be for the outside of my wee house. It's a bigger job than I thought it would be  Undecided I also made some wee toadstools and I love them. I'm going to make a bunch more this weekend. They'll probably be integrated into the wee house after the faux wedding as well.

*trying to imagine a aluminum-foil-covered-in-polymer-clay tree*

I have good news! Yesterday afternoon a wee up-market fairy whispered into my ear saying that she would be delighted to move into my wee house. So I had a mini-consultation with her to find out her requirements and decorative tastes. Now the decorating can begin!!  Cheesy

Everyone's houses are looking great. I'm in the middle of a couple of other projects as well, just finished my boyfriend's mohawk hat and some paper roses. I'm still working on my flooring, but should be finishing that up this weekend. Then I'll be moving on to ceilings! I live in a historic part of town. It's giving me some ideas. The cool part is I didn't even get a strange look from one of the shop owners as I was staring up at her ceiling telling a friend "this is what I want in my dollhouse." (She also gave me some really awesome ideas for perserving and displaying mementos from my grandparents.)

On a negative note, I probably won't be able to post pictures for quite a while. My computer died (it was peaceful, in her sleep), and the backup laptop is not helpful. I'm still glancing at the site, but I'm really not a fan of laptops, so it's encouraging me to spent more time offline!
