Is it working for you? I should have mentioned that there is a way to work with it... it's not like regular glue.

I picked up some Elmer's Glue today so that I can paint the outside of my house. I want to do a wood floor and I have tons of Popsicle sticks, but what are you guys using to cut them? I don't have any saws or power tools......  Maybe heavy duty scissors?  Huh

I score both sides deeply with a exacto knife and snap it - then I sand the edge down for a clean even edge!

I wallpapered one of the room with sheet music that belonged to my deceased father-in-law...he played in a lot of big bands as a drummer and left us boxes and boxes of yellowed music sheets...I used two whole sheets Grin...

I am getting a bit impatient by having to finish off the surfaces before putting the house together...but I know it will be so much easier...I am going to do a big push to get those done this weekend so I can start having fun filling my little house

I made a couple of shelves using some of the punched out pieces that came with the house...

knickertwist--you are so right...I feel confident that I will be able to put the victorian house together now that I understand how these kits work!!  I have another 40% off coupon so I think I will get another house for future use!

Rubber cement is a great idea for the wallpapering. I read somewhere that glue sticks are great for it, too. I've been using a glue runner and it's working out pretty well. The only thing is that you can still peel the paper off pretty easily, which is sort of good and sort of bad. I've also used Mod Podge for some things, depending on the desired effect.

I miss working on my house Sad but I'm catching up on house work and other crafts that have deadlines. I hope I can squeeze in some time on it this Sunday.

curiousfae--are you using real stones?  I have a whole bag of river pebbles...is e600 glue strong enough?  I might try that egg carton tutorial--with the plaster walls, my house is becoming quite heavy!!

e600 should be perfect. i used regular elmers and they are sticking but i have had a few come off here and there. the true test will be when i grout it though. i am hoping (with fingers crossed) that when i do the grout will cement those buggers on there and they won't move...ever!

love the look of your walls and wooden beams alwaysinmyroom!

Thanks for the tips on cutting the Popsicle sticks everyone. I'm going to try dying them with Walnut Ink to get a nice aged look.
