My daughter was at a friends, they got pizza, and she saved me two plastic pieces from the box.

"Mom, I thought you could use these for tables." Well, they're about 1 1/2 "  high. Won't quite work with the small shelf I'm using for a house, but....I got an idea.
I had a can of kryon fusion spray paint for plastic, in black. Sprayed them. I have scrap purse leather for making mini books. I cut a  loop to size, clamped and glued it. If I hadn't had leather, I could have used a toilet paper tube, and covered it with ribbon or decorative paper.

Take one plastic piece. Run glue down the inside of the three legs, and across the bottom of your cylinder. snug it into place. Take second plastic piece, run glue down the inside of the three legs, and across the top of the cylinder, press together.
Now me, I was in a hurry and it was messy. I have some thick black screenprinting ink, I went over the plastic with this. I brushed some clear sealer on the top.

Had another idea, picked up a thin sample of laminate flooring and cut and glued a circle to the top! Black paint to cover the edge. I can flip the table either way. I could have used pretty paper and or paint to decorate instead.

Used e600 glue. If I only had acrylic paint, I would have sanded the plastic first, before painting. This may get saved for a different wee house since they're a bit big for my mini library, but there it is.  A drum table.

Using those pizza spacers is such a creative idea!!  one more thing I won't be able to throw out...I think people are beginning to think of me and my house...I have straws and all sorts of weird things put in my in box at work... Cheesy

Love the cute kitten room! Can't wait to see the fire place...I saved a box lid from one of my Mom's gifts to make another chimney...finally decided on a roof and will work on that this weekend...I am trying to find a permanent place to keep my house...I might seal up one of my fireplaces and put it in there...I think it would be a nice display...

Thanks everyone!

The Calico Critters are all going to be child cats, even the ones that are supposed to be adults. The scale is smaller than my dollhouse is. Phrixy made 2 of our adult cat characters for Christmas for me. They just need hair and pants. I also have the Persis cat family (Calico Critters) on the way! I'm very excited about that.

We went thrift shopping yesterday and I scored a tub that needs some nail polish removed from inside it, and a pink toilet. The kittens also got some punch-out wooden furniture that we'll be decorating further.

Planning to go to Michaels this week, so I'll be watching for some nice scrapbook paper for wallpaper, and other bits and bobs. Need feather wings in the proper scale for one of the adult kitties!

I finished the wee house for my step-daughter, Ophelia, and I love how it turned out! She loves it and can't wait to make more things for it. We've already added a bird's nest with eggs, lady bugs, and some little mushrooms. Here are pics of how it looked when she got it.

and one of my favorite details,

I posted it as a separate topic, too, with more pics: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=400557.msg4711425#msg4711425

Thanks to all of you for inspiring me! I can't wait to finish my spooky house and then make a cottage for me. I'm hooked!

What a lovely gift!  I bet she will have so much fun, using her imagination to discover new things to add to her house!

The red is such a cheery color!  Love all of the little details...the cookie scene is so adorable!
