You almost could start a CAL just for those dolls! Cheesy

how cute...love the freckles...

Whats a CAL? I love the freckles too! I think they need to be a bit less bold but they're sweet.

@Badpuppy - Thanks!

I got a chance to work on my wee house...I managed to finish the floor on the first floor...I wanted it to look like wide plank wooden floors.  I used a letter open, the thing in the picture, black sharpie, paint, and stain...yeah..it was a lot of work but I like how they turned out

The wood is thin so you have to be very careful not to scratch too deep.

I also trimmed out the doors between the rooms using the wood that came in the kit.  It gave it a beefier look...and I used fast dry plaster to make the walls look like plaster...I haven't painted the walls yet..

You can sort of see through the door into the little room...which will be my kitchen...I put in a fireplace!  I still need to paint the rocks and distress the wood...

I used one of the shapes I saved from the kit...ha ha--I saved all the punch outs and everything...and a piece of molding from my hubby's work shop.

I also painted all the trim and now I am going to try to do a tile floor upstairs...

I can't wait for everything to dry so I can do more...

The Michael's stores around here are in a state of flux. They just closed one, are in the process of closing a second one, and opened a new one all in the last month or so.  I have not been able to find a house.  I did one years ago, but I think my mother either got rid of it, or still has it somewhere.  I have one more store to check before I abandon that idea...

alwaysinmyroom, your house looks amazing! I would never have thought of putting plaster on the walls or carving the floor to look like hardwood. It looks great. Now I think my fireplace will need a facade...

I finally got some polymer clay and it's a bit more difficult to work with than I thought it would be. I have a very limited experience with sculpting, so I'm going to look around for some how-to's and keep practicing.

I didn't get to work on my  house any this weekend Sad but I visited my grandma and she had some miniature things that she let me have. I got an old-fashioned stove (which is actually a pencil sharpener), some little books and a little clay pitcher. I also found a cool magnifying glass pendant made to be a necklace on sale at Hobby Lobby that I think will make a great steampunkesque addition to my guy's study.

This week looks pretty busy but I hope I can squeeze in a little crafting at least one night.

Make sure you condition your clay before you sculpt. Either by hand (mushing it up into balls and mashing it all together) or with a pasta machine. Personally, I love the pasta machine. Makes a hard task that much easier. Cheesy
