I'm working on my wee person right now! I'm not sure how well she's going to come out, but I'm excited. I took a small wooden bead and wrapped it in polymer clay. I then smooshed it in one of these molds: http://gobstock.com/_715891133408-Sculpey-Flexible-Push-Mold-Art-Doll-Face I'm cooking it right now. Next I'll throw some water colors on it and see if it works.

Here's my little face painted. I think she looks kind of cute. It was too hot in my place to make more than one, but I'm going to make another tomorrow.

Great little person, Morgan! The face looks really good!

I recently acquired some small wooden beads myself and may have to make a little guy, too. What do you plan on making the body out of?

My philosophy is "measure once....cut three times.... swear like a sailor...."

I can't find a house for love nor money!  I've been to three Michael's (and discovered several that have vanished from my city...) and will try a fourth when I go to Cincinnati this weekend.  But I'm itching to get started, and if I can't find a standard kit...

I'm also thinking of making my own, and I'm thinking along slightly different lines.  Not a house, but my fantasy urban loft (complete with rooftop terrace garden, natch.)  Big open space with ginormous windows, little nooks, perhaps a spiral staircase.....

Whaddya think?

Thanks Ashgrim!

I think I need to go one size down on the beads. She's looking a little bloated and head heavy. But I've kind of fallen in love with her, so I'm going to keep her and give her a home somewhere.

I made the body based on Wee Folk tutorials. I took a piece of pipe cleaner and wrapped it in embroidery floss. I then popped the head on top. I'll make a dress or something for her later.

Here's some extra pictures:
