We saw this exhibit at the art gallery this week and OMG I was so totally blown away. If you get a chance to see it you Must go, the detail and innovation are astonishing. The installations, and there were several, are so incredibly complex and simple at the same time. I was just awed.

I just about cried with happiness when I found this posting.  My daughter and I have matching kits (sadly, not the creatology one-because that would be much easier to do), that are sitting in boxes waiting to be built.

This is 176 pages of help, and I love and thank you all!   Kiss

My heart is still in this thread, even if my hands aren't making a wee house presently.  Smiley

Super easy to make!  Take a large straw, like a milkshake straw, and cut it into equal sized pieces, the size you want your balls to be.  Then take embroidery floss (actually I used craft cord because unlike floss, it has a twist in it like yarn does) and wrap it around the outsides of the straw. I used a piece about a yard long for each ball. I also used a bodkin (large eyed blunt needle, for any who may not know)- made it much easier to thread the cord thru. Leave a tail of about an inch or so hanging from the center of the straw, then wrap it around the outside of the tube, back up thru the middle and so on, until the straw is full to your satisfaction. No glue necessary, the thread holds itself in. Trim the ends.  That's it!  I made the labels on my computer with a tiny font, drew some decorative lines with a couple fine point sharpies and cut them out and glued them in place.  Voila!
