Cheesy   Thank you!  I've realized there are towers strewn about everywhere - oatmeal cartons, grits cartons, raisin cartons, wrapping paper tubes, mailing tubes, etc etc!

I'm having trouble finding objects and tutorials for miniatures in 1/2 inch scale, which is half as large as most dollhouse miniatures, and larger than most model railroad scales except the very rare G scale.  So I am torn - should I struggle with 1/2 inch scale, or move up to the larger scale?   Huh

Do you have your heart set on scale? If you're not entering competitions just wing it. I don't do anything to scale with my miniature stuff. I just kinda make things that sorta-kinda look like they fit mixed with things that don't fit at all. You could make your piece more of a fantasy type where scale doesn't really matter. True scale is WAY too stressful for me  Cheesy You could always ask microjivvy if she has any ideas where to look. She's a master when it comes to scale.

Thank you, Knickertwist, I really appreciate your input.  My husband makes models for people who throw a fit if something is off by a millimeter, so to see a relaxed attitude about scale is reassuring! Smiley I'm not super set on scale except wanting things to sort of look like they go together.  I might include figures, so the items have to go with them, though the figures may be a little cartoony.  I struggle with the really small scale stuff, having kind of spastic hands.  Tongue  I just finished some things in very small scale and it was tough!  So I'm strongly leaning toward  "approximately" 1 inch to 1 foot. Especially since I want to try some mini embroidery.
