Oh my goodness, I had no idea that little puzzle kit was virtually identical to a 'real' dollhouse! I had to google and look Smiley  That's the one I'm working on too, but I'm going to try and make the outside look kinda like the cover of a leatherbound book. I hope. The image is in my head and I'm hoping it translates to the real as well as I'm picturing!

So what do you have in mind for the Queen of Hearts? Are you going for the one from Alice in Wonderland or the one from the poem (The Queen of Hearts, She made some tarts, All on a summer's day;), or something else entirely?

No, I was picturing a Queen of hearts waiting for one of her suitors either the Kings of clubs or King of  spades to return...interior is going to consist of virtually everything heart shaped and roses pinks and reds..but the outside?

I have seen several different examples over at the "greenleaf miature community" site..one had the paint crackled, one had it done with brick and black roof....and one had a lighter brick but with stone? wrapping arond the edges  and windows and doors....

I need to see if I can copy those pics either over to here or somewhere so it is clearer what Im picturing...It is SOOO hard to choose! LOL

I want it to look like she is waiting for her lost love(s)? to come back...and maybe show the competing between them for her by both the things they did to her home and her gifts...hmmm I do know the roof will have dried rose heads off of real roses DH bought for me and I saved and dried....
UGHHH let me try to bring a few photos over....hahahahaha
(Im terrible at deciding things)

Ooooh....sounds very soft and romantic, looking forward to your pictures! You could do window boxes and trellises filled with roses, or maybe some bleeding heart shrubs?

OK! got the majority (not nearly all!) snickers of the photos that captured me as far as idea wise....I put them on photoshop with my start of dolls...ROFL hubby sure wished I had stopped there! ROFLMAO anyway  here goes: http://s1096.photobucket.com/albums/g328/MadameMarigold/

I have even picked up some tiny'er dolls so to make a mini queen to haunt the window.....just need to make a ruffled collar like the queen on the deck of cards. The one photo? like 2 or 3rd in? Shows the 2 kits bashed together. Thats one way to get a kitchen and bathroom but...then no go for Shell cottage! Pouts.....I dunno...Im still saving every box that comes in trying to find a fit to add the 2 extra rooms. Just no luck yet!

I need another shed or bus to store all my mini "stuff" Im saving... Sad Grin

The obvious solution is... you buy another one for the Shell Cottage Cheesy  It's like a compulsion now for me whenever I get a 50% off at Michaels, I buy another kit. I even bought the Fantasy one but the thought of it scares me! Shocked  It never even occurred to me to COMBINE two....you folks continue to inspire and motivate!

I know! I have gotten all sorts of ideas here and over at the Greenleaf community. like cutting a window in that one upper room in the mini tenny...and a rooftop garden on the adjoining section..pouts

My only problem with the bashing idea is the one spot I will have to display it wont be near big enough if I go with the bashed idea. I really, really want a shed or some sorta little building for just these things. Set it up displaying all of them....

sighs a girl can fantasize  ehh? (Does my age show thru with WHAT I'm fantasizing about?) shakes head....whoa...  Shocked Roll Eyes

Hah! That's exactly where I'm going with this. This will become a steampunked Victorian inhabited by an explorer Borrower. I think. That's the plan anyway! That way I can incorporate lots of 'found' items as well as actually miniatures. I have it wallpapered inside already, and black vinyl ready to cover the outside. I've been taking pics as I go and I think I'm getting close to enough posts here to be able to add them  Grin
