I did!  I think I'm done with the construction of my house, I just need to complete the furnishings.  I'll post some photos soon.

Skookum - that roof is great !  I debated doing a pine cone roof and then when I started to gather the pine cone seeds and realize how many I would need for my giant roof....I went back to the drawing board Smiley   Is your roof made of bark?  It looks awesome !

We have been hit with a frigid cold snap here, and therefore I took a holiday from my little house because the summer kitchen that I use as a craft roof was about 4 degrees (Celsius) and the log cabin attached to it where the wood shop is set up was about -25C......so cold that when you touched the table saw I swear your fingertips were instantly frost bitten Smiley   Well I sucked it up today and finished cutting out my pieces, dry fit them all together and gave it a base coat.  Tonight after the little one was in bed I started working on the decor part Smiley

I have to say - the posts here have helped me tremendously while working on my first little house - tips like "decorate BEFORE you put in all together" especially.  I would have def thought you'd put it all together and start the decor....and I would have been cursing....ALOT.  There were already a few choice words this evening when my wood wainscotting (which I thought looked really cool BTW) buckled and popped while it dried ..Boo!!  So I just painted on a wood effect instead, not as textural, but I was bummed out and wanted something there so it satisfied me for tonight - I still may change it...we'll see. Smiley

The main floor will be kitchen on the left with a big stone cook fire, family room on the right.

No centre dividing wall on the main floor so I have attempted to make paperclay branches that will act as support beams (this is a gnome house)  I haven't worked with paperclay before so that was really fun - I think that the next one will go even better know that I know a few tricks via trial and error.

Top floor will be library comfy reading room with fireplace on the left and bedroom on the right.  I'll try my hand at making some of those cute mini books Smiley  I am going to do both floors as a wooden strip floor using the iron on veneer technique I saw posted on here.

Sorry about the links - I haven't posted enough yet to put pics in Smiley

Thanks again for all the great info !

anefariousimp - I love how your "Alice-themed" wee-house is coming along! It's looking great!

SKooKuM - Your house is looking very rustic - I like it!

I've finally completed one of the rooms in my wee house, and I'm quite happy with the way it looks. Hooray for progress!  Grin

Everyone's houses look so adorable! I put mine together yesterday. I am going to mark what's what and take it apart to decorate. I probably won't get started for a couple of weeks though. I have a lot of other stuff going on. I am thinking on it all the time though. I lay in bed at night thinking of ideas.

I love the pine bark and moss roof!!! It is so rustic and perfect for the woods...

The Queen of Hearts room is so much fun and so well-detailed!  I admire your skills of making everything!

I am not sure I think a Hoarders House would be something I would want in my house...but it was so fabulously detailed...she should send pics to Hoarders...each scene looks so real...

Loved the stump fairy house...fabulously dreamy...

Loved the cute little painted chair...I can just see a wee person sitting there...

MissingWillow...wow---the colors you picked for the exterior are fabulous!

Thistlehill--I like what you are doing so far...I think my next house will be more open concept...

katara--what a lovely room you created--love the curtains and the cow pic!

This thread is rocking after the holidays!

I've decided I'd like to join.  I've purchased foam board to make the Haunted Dimension one (I believe that's what it's called) that katara found/used.  I'm going with an energy healing center theme, which is something I'm working towards achieving in real life.
