I've finished painting, waxing the floors, and assembling my first dollhouse (the veranda one, but I've bought the other two Creatology houses, plus the furniture now too). Now comes the fun part: making all the tiny furnishings, decorations, and details. I'll have to figure out how to get the best pictures of my house so far, maybe the spouse can take some on his superior camera.  Wink The only thing I've made for the interior of my house are some teeny tiny rolled beeswax candles. My progress is going to be slow because I plan to make nearly everything for this house, including a mouse or two from this tutorial http://miniatures.about.com/od/makeminiatureanimals/ss/Sew-A-Miniature-Felt-Mouse.htm to live in my house. I love nearly everything on about.com's miniatures pages.

Uh-oh....I think I am obsessed !!

I ran across Knickertwist's Storyteller's house post and thought "WOW - this is what I need to do" !!!

I love crafting, but have the smallest attention span ever.  My house is filled with bins and boxes of various craft do-dads, all of which I love with my whole heart......for about 4 days of frantic crafting and then it's back in the bin and stuck on the shelf.  A year later (after I have cycled through the other bins) I come across it again and the circle of my crafting life is complete. Smiley

These little houses are the ticket....it's a little bit of everything - but not a giant bit of anything.  Put all the little bits together though and it is nothing short of fabulous !!!!!

I burned last last 2 days reading all 107 posts during my little guys nap times and have googled about a zillion sites. (and I thought I would have nothing to do on Parental leave hahaha)

In my head, my house is all formed and ready to go , and I am jumping in feet first.   I can only hope my wee house turns out as half as good as all of yours - you guys ROCK !!!!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Rackycoo and Curiousfae - I have been lurking forever Smiley

Curiousfae that fairy stumphouse is amazing, I'm sure you wont need luck (just persistence) Smiley.  I am also leaning towards the fairy tale side - gnome house.

Going to try and use materials that they would find around our farm for building supplies: rock walls, tin cans for metal roofing?, I am going on the assumption though that they would have fabbed hand tools so they can make wooden objects, have masonry skills etc. Maybe make them a spinning wheel and have it in the den Smiley

I have been dreaming of the little thing and wake up with a jumble of ideas that mostly make no sense what-so-ever!

I cut out my building last night and got it sanded - paint today and jumping in Smiley
