Ok. I am going to Michaels soon. Maybe I will make a wee Halloween themed house.

Oh man!
I bought one of those houses a year ago and it's just been sitting next to my desk waiting for me to be inspired.

This sounds great!

Looking for Mccalls 6337 sewing pattern, if you have a copy you'd be willing to share/give/sell please let me know.  The bag costs $60 and I think perhaps I could make it cheaper/

I've been SO EXCITED about this craftalong. I started on another Michael's house that I'll be posting some pictures of. Woohoo!

It's a fine line between 'hobby' & 'mental illness

As long as my Michaels has some for cheap (I haven't been there yet to look, but I'll go this soon  Smiley) I don't mind sending houses to anyone that needs them.  I'm in Alberta, Canada.

I got my house at Michael's today, with a 40% off coupon it was $5 and some change.

Should I put it together first, then decorate, or is it easier to decorate some things before putting together?

I usually put it together, then mark where each room is, then take it apart and decorate the separate bits, then put it back together. It may sound like more work but I think it saves a LOT of aggravation in the long run.

Thanks! I was kinda wondering how I would "wallpaper" it when all put together and have it turn out looking nice.  Cheesy

SO agree on this. I put the first one together (one of the castles) with glue and such and then started painting. Terrible idea. It's such a mess!
