i just wanted to say that i got my wonderful items from bruisedfruit today.
it included:
- a wristlet made with an iron on (?) image of frida as the deer on both sides and its lined with a really interesting fabric that reminds me of striped lawn chairs
- a hair comb full of flowers, roses, mini sunflowers a la frida
- and my favorite a glass necklace with the image of the deer on the inside that is sodered around the edges, it is so cool!

hopefully bruisedfruit can post the pics  Grin

and thank you so much!!!!

I got my package from littleone yesterday. She sent a painted box with one of Frida's self portraits with a monkey, a hot pink felt stenciled book cover, and (my favorite) a pink stenciled bag that is absolutely amazing.
I wish I could post pictures.

Thanks again stopmoshun for the wonderful items. I will post pictures of both your things and my things, hopefully by the end of the week. I loaned my camera and hardware to a friend before I downloaded the pictures. Silly me. I should get it back Thursday.

Woohoo! Can I just say I LOVED this swap!!  I felt really inspired and made some of my favorite crafts ever!  I'll post what I sent to ithnkuno since she's received it already.  Sorry for the insane amount of pics, it's my first swap so please forgive me!

Here's a Frida inpired jar made with Loteria cards of a skull and Mexican flag:

I thought the jar looked too empty to send, so I filled it with thorns, a small bottle of this tequila drink, and put a little orchid charm on the bottle:

Here's a detail of the charm:

I used a book of Frida's paintings to make a picture marble of her and then made a bracelet out of that.  I hope ithnkuno will back me up when I say that the pic doesn't really do it justice.

And here's an agave cactus made out of sculpey clay.  I meant for it to be a ring holder, but it's a little to low to the ground to hold rings.
