Here is a bigger design of something I've made on magnets before.  I think it turned out well.  It is a heart shaped box on it's humps that has been turned into a Christmas Tree.  Next time I need some glossy Mode Podge (all I had was some wood glue, which it's basically all the same, but something glossy might look better).  I am working on a second design with a snow flake instead of a tree.

Just curious, would it be something that would interested you as a gift/item to buy?  (Hope I am following TOS by asking this, I have no shop for it and am not selling them.  If not please delete.)

(Oh the top side is the lid and the bottom is just all green, I'll grab a side shot.)

Here is the side shot of the box:  It closes magnetically.

I like the idea of it, but it looks too plain to me. Maybe you could paint some design on it? maybe give it details of the branches on it if that would work. I would try drawing it out or painting the design on paper first so you dont ruin a box. Or you could decorate the box kinda like a tree. http://www.craftjuice.com/index.php?page=4&part=year&category=WoodenCrafts has something simular to what i was thinking if you scroll down to the green heart box. You could put any small decorations on it, or missle toe to make it stand out more.   My parents used to have a wodden craft company so Im used to improvising with wooden cutouts Smiley You can also write a christmas saying around the sides to add more detail.   For the snow flake you could do so many designs i think something kinda like http://www.vectorstock.com/royalty-free-vector/heart-shape-snowflakes-vector-153979 on your wooden boxes would look really nice as well as the heart being one big snowflake.   I'm sorry im writing you a book here lol I hope ive helped you get some ideas flowing though. good luck Smiley

Ha! Thanks.  I was wondering why I wasn't getting much in the way of comments.  Of course being the Winter board, it is a bit early.  You are right it does seem a little plain.  Too bad I can't get to the craft store, lol.  I was considering add tinsel.  Making it on paper before the box is a great idea, as is mistletoe.
