I've always imagined pixies to be mischievous characters, the kind of creatures responsible for all the missing socks in the washing and the earrings you can only find one of.  If I had a family of pixies at my house, I think they'd live in the camphor laurel trees in the front yard, where the could freely harass the nesting wagtails, sparrows and finches, while stashing their shiny spoils high enough that I can't get to them.  Little blighters.

This is made from paper vines (from a florist supply shop) and brown wire, with some moss, fake berry sprays, and lots of random shiny things.  I've made plenty of nests from these sorts of materials but this is my first 'weaver bird' inspired structure.

Beautiful! I'd rather have pixies than the squirrel bordello in my front trees.

I'm not sure!  It looks lovely hanging in a window; all the little sparklies shine in the light.  I don't want to put it outside in case the birds actually try to eat those fake berry things, they're made of styrofoam type stuff.

So pretty!  If you made an animal safe outdoors one, that would be so cool in a tree!
