So, to day I went down a path I never thought I would go down, nor did I think I would enjoy.  I used my sewing machine for the first time today.  It was given to me about 4 years ago, and I have never even taken it out of the box!  I was too intimidated by it.  So today, a good friend of mine sat me down and taught me the ins and outs of my machine.  She also taught me how to do a simple stitch.  The first project we are working on is an apron.  I have always wanted an apron, but I wanted it to be handmade.

So here I am, asking this...  Where are the best places in town to get fabric for cheap, but good quality?  Where do I start, do I search craigslist, or ebay?  Stalk yard sales?

I don't know where to begin, but I know I am going to need a lot of fabric for this new addiction!

I love getting sheets and pillowcases from Goodwill to use for projects (especially when I don't really know what i'm doing). Smiley But when you need nice fabric, you should check out Sewn Studio in Oakley on Madison Road and Banasch's on Red Bank Road!
