I wanted to create a lampshade fit for Wonderland.  I used Mervyn Peak's illustration of the Mad Hatter and embroidered that on black out fabric.  When I finished the embroidery stage I felt that I needed to turn it up to eleven and add some patch work look to it.

I love how the embroidery turned out.

Wow.  That must have taken some time and patience.

I guess since it's blackout fabric, you don't get a reverse/negative effect at night when the lamp is on?

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

This is why I love craftster. It never occured to me to personalize/decorate a lampshade in that way. The embroidery is just beautiful.  Smiley
