This is one of my favorite things I ever made. I had bought a jelly roll of this batik fabric, but I did not have any idea what I was going to so with it. After about five minutes of searching I found the blog Pikku-Kettu Knits and Quits. Her stuff was beautiful and she had the solution <a href="http://pikkukettuknits.wordpress.com/two-charm-packs-and-a-jelly-roll-quilt-top-tutorial/">. I fell in love and started working and two weeks later I had this.

The backing:

I wanted to stitch key shapes all over the quilt, but I gave up and now only have a few random places with keys, but I sort of love it that way.

oh my, that's fantastic! i want to try making a quilt but the shops in my area don't have much of a selection of fabrics, but i'd love to be able to find jelly rolls like that one, the colours are fantastic and you've put them together beautifully

This is so pretty - I really like your "key" work.  Pretty coordinated backing fabric too!   Smiley
